Slab Building Platters & Trays Workshop

Come explore the process of building platters and trays with our talented staff! Techniques will focus on soft and leather-hard slab construction, making strong attachments using slip, drying to reduce warping, and surface decoration/ornamentation. This is a hands-on creative clay experience designed with the beginner in mind. At the conclusion of the workshop, students will leave with a serving platter or tray and a good understanding of basic construction techniques for working with slabs. Pieces will be fired and picked up on a later date determined at the end of the workshop.
