Join us for a weekend of making large-scale pots and sculptures with experienced artist/teacher John Donovan. Students will plan, build and decorate a vessel or sculpture using the reliable trinity of clay hand building techniques, pinch, coil and slab, as well as a variety of other approaches that John will demonstrate. This is a hands-on creative clay experience designed with beginners in mind. Participants will leave with a sculpture or vessel and a rich understanding of the expressive potential found through working with clay. Pieces will be fired and picked up on a later date determined at the end of the workshop.
