Is your tableware dishwasher/microwave safe?
Yes!
All of our work is durable enough to withstand the stresses of a commercial kitchen environment. We're very proud of our specially formulated clay mixture, which is very resilient to thermal shock. However, we do not recommend putting our work in a hot oven.
Is your tile safe for use in wet/outdoor areas?
Yes!
Our tile and tableware are made from the same durable clay mixture, which absorbs very little water and holds up well against thermal shock.
If you live in an area which experiences intense freeze/thaw conditions, proper installation is key to the longevity of your tile. Improper mounting can let water seep behind the tile, and dislodge them when a freeze occurs.
Do you do custom work?
Yes, but it depends. Talk it over with us to see what we can do for you.
We're more than happy to develop custom tableware for restaurants and medium volume clients. Or in smaller volumes for bigger ticket items like vases, urns, platters, etc.
Custom glaze colors (not on our normal palette) are only available for medium/large volume clients.
Development of custom work may incur an hourly development fee for more complicated projects.
Do you offer a volume discount?
Yes!
We offer a 10% volume discount on large orders of both tableware and tile. Contact us to see if your order qualifies.
How uniform is your tableware?
Our work is fairly consistent, but some variation is inherent to the handmade process. Like siblings, not twins. Subtle variation gives each piece within a set its own personality.
